Privilege: when you get to wear your identity like a costume, inhabiting all spaces and none at the same time. Choose to participate if you like, or not, it’s up to you! You have all the trump cards. Why should anyone else even bother playing?

i’m so happy that i’m able to contribute to the discussion :) i started reading this blog a couple of months ago, and at first i was like, wtf, why should someone be able to tell me what to wear? but i stuck with it past the first few posts, and started actually learning. i’ve identified as a feminist for about 6 years, but really resisted the concept of privilege until i found mycultureisnotatrend. after that, it all opened up pretty quickly. i know i still have a lot of work to do in identifying my own privilege, but i feel like i’m getting better every day.

ANYWAY i think rainy’s my only follower, but if i ever get more, CHECK THIS BLOG OUT :P
